Our Team
Our people are our greatest asset. The Vera Juris team consists of legal nurse consultants (LNCs), life care planners (LCPs) and medical litigation support personnel. Medical-legal consulting requires a specific skill set that not all health care professionals possess. All Vera Juris’ team members have been vetted for their critical analysis and reasoning skills, clinical experience and communication aptitude. Additionally, our LNCs have backgrounds in nearly every medical specialty. This allows us to bring a focused expertise to every case.
A legal nurse consultant is a licensed, registered nurse who performs a critical analysis of patient health care records and outcomes for medically related legal cases. This role is a specialty practice within the nursing field that uses an RN’s expertise with the health care system to provide informed opinions on health care delivery to attorneys and other parties involved in medical litigation.
A life care planner is a licensed, registered nurse who develops a plan for providing for the health care needs for an individual who has experienced an injury or has chronic medical problems. Every life care plan is customized to the individual’s specific circumstances and life expectancy.
